Description:

Length: 8 "- 18.5", tail is as long as the shell.
Weight: Up to 45 lbs. in the wild.
Color: Shell is tan to dark brown, serrated near the back. Belly is yellow to tan.
Large head and neck.

Habitat: Fresh water and soft mud.

Diet: Plants, fish, birds, and small mammals.
