Wood Frog

Description:

Length: 1.5"- 3.25"
Color: Brown to pink. Dark mask behind the eyes. Light stripe across the mouth. Belly is white.
Ridges run down the back.
Toes are partially webbed.

Habitat: Moist woods.

Personality:

Diurnal.
Hibernates in the winter. During hibernation, the frog actually freezes and 65% of the water in its body becomes ice.

Diet: Insects and small animals.

Language: Short, quacking sounds.
