Family: Pokeweed family Location: Roadsides and fields Season: Summer/Autumn Flower: 5 white sepals with green center, ~1/4" in diameter, carried on 3-10" elongated spikes. Leaves: 5-12" elliptical, smooth, tapering at both ends. Fruit: Clusters of purplish black berries. ~1/4" in diameter. Poison. (Unripe fruit is shown at left.)
