Family: Composite Family Location: Roadside and meadows Season: Summer and fall Flower: Bright yellow flowers in a large terminal cluster. Leaves: Narrow, alternate lanceolate leaves that are all about the same size. Only one obvious vein on the leaf. Leaves give off the odor of anise when crushed, at least for some plants..
