Woods, usually under oaks or pines

Season: Spring

Flower: Pink, irregular, lip 1"-2" long cleft in center.

Leaves: 2 leaves, basal only entire, with deep veining.

 The Stonehill campus is also home to a rare form of the Pink Lady's Slipper, which has a white flower.  This can't be confused with the Small White Lady's Sipper.
